The Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) is devoted to helping businesses reach their energy sustainability objectives. To support the local community solar installation, OPPD has launched the SunShares program, which is an easy and affordable way to make a donation to the LES solar plant and promote renewable energy use. All customers are eligible to join the program and have the donation automatically added to their bill. The state building manager of the Department of Administrative Services can also specify a more recent edition of the IECC, additional energy efficiency or renewable energy requirements for buildings.
